Peter Gilmour is a sailing legend - he has been on the Tour "Forever" and won the World Championships 3 times. Won in Marstrand in July and have won Danish Open before - and are here to try to win it again.

 Damien Iehl, France - French Match Racing - ISAF World Ranking 5

Gentleman on shore, Mr. Cool on the waters. Part of the French Americas Cup Team Areva, and one of the young guns of France. Just came off Match Cup Sweden with a respectable 4th - and is looking to improve on his ranking.

 Ian Williams, Great Britain - Team Pindar - ISAF World Ranking 4

Current World Champion in Match Race, and defender of the Danish Open title he won in Frederikshavn in 2008. Ian and his crew is here to show who is the real Champion, and as always we can expect tough and fair sailing - to the limit.

 Torvar Mirsky, Australia - Mirsky Racing Team - ISAF World Ranking 6

Torvar and his Mirsky Racing Team is a relative newcomer to the Tour. They debuted last year, and rose to the top very fast. An adept of Peter Gilmour, you can certainly see how commitment, skills and above all, hard work pays off. Certainly the stars of the future - and the future is right now.

 Adam Minoprio, New Zealand - ETNZ/Black Match Racing - ISAF World Ranking 1

The Black Match Racing Team led by fierceless Adam Minoprio is already an established Team on the Tour, in which they only came into last year. They won in Marseilles and are hot on the heels of the Champs - watch out for these guys.

 Phil Robertson, New Zealand - WAKA Racing - ISAF World Ranking 36

Phil and his WAKA Racing Team won the Warren Jones Match Racing event in Perth, Australia - a Qualifier Event for Danish Open - and thereby won a spot on Danish Open. It will be very exciting to see Phil participate in his first Tour Event in Denmark - we have seen so many young and upcoming stars from "down-under" - this should be no wonder that they will stir up the established teams.

 Mattias Rahm, Sweden - Stena Bulk Sailing Team - ISAF World Ranking 20

Matthias and his Stena Bulk Sailing Team won the Qualifier at TMC in Middelfart this spring, and took the last Qualification spot to Danish Open. Mattias is no stranger to Danish waters or to Danish Open, as we have seen him here many times. And as always, Swedes like to contest in Denmark - expect hard racing.

Peter and his team are known to be a very agressive and active team. With superb boathandling they often challenge the competitors into areas where it becomes very spectacular. Known as one of the Young Guns of Danish Matchracing, Wibroe has been around for a long time - and would love to win in Denmark.

 Jonas Warrer, Denmark - Wild Card - ISAF World Ranking 141

Jonas Warrer and Martin Kirketerp - winner of the Olympic Gold medals in 49´er in Quindau 2008, propably the most exciting Olympic Gold ever. Since then Jonas and Martin have tested various other sailing disciplines including match racing - and they are improving day by day as you would expect for a competitive and skilled pair with Olympic merits. Given a Wild Card we expect these guys to show "different moves" which could surprise some of the more established teams.

 Jes Gram Hansen, Denmark - Trifork Racing Team - ISAF World Ranking 158

Jes Gram Hansen and his Trifork Matchrace Team is a local hero. Practically grew up with matchracing in his backyard, and soon made it to the top of the pops. Has been part of the Mascalzone Latino Americas Cup team, as a very succesfull starting helmsman in the last Cup in Valencia. Today he tours the world as a popular professional Tactician.
